Ooh! A 1950s bathroom. Is the Terlet pink too?

No, it's white. Believe me, I can't wait to gut it. You should see our kitchen. Previous owners built the house in 1959 and didn't change a thing after that.

I completely forgot about that part. RCR in a nutshell right there.

I’ve seen my share of those. Oddly there are a lot of people preserving and restoring that stuff.

Ha, I’m totally into that. Wacky mid-century tile work FTW.
(Also, I poop a lot, and all the original color-coordinated stuff is nice to look at.)

I totally get it. Powder Blue is one of my faves but I know one house that had Black fixtures (tub, toilet, sink) and Pink everything else that was pretty cool too.

Hell yea. Somebody roughly 60 years ago built their dream house. And to them it was such a dream that they didn’t change a thing for roughly 60 years? That time capsule of a house is definitely something worth preserving as a relic to what the average Joe’s American dream used to mean.

Certain homes are worth restoring or preserving 100% as built. There is no doubt there. The late 40s through early 60s had some interesting stuff going on.

Patrick trying his hardest to keep a straight face (and failing miserably) is what makes it.
